Camden County Jail Records
The official local custody search is the Camden County Sheriff's Office Inmate Inquiry, a New World Systems roster linked from the sheriff's Corrections page. It covers current and historical booking records for people processed through the Camden County Public Safety Complex / Camden County Jail in Woodbine. The roster can be filtered to current custody, and the current-custody query inspected on June 4, 2026 showed 139 records. That count was a point-in-time roster result, not an annual jail population figure.
Camden County inmate records begin at booking. The public profile may show a current booking, prior bookings, bond rows, court rows, and charge rows for the same subject number. It is useful for answering whether a person is in jail, when the booking was opened, whether bond data is posted, and which agency brought the person into the jail. It is not the final court record. Formal charge status, court dates, dispositions, certified copies, and sentence results are checked through the Clerk of Superior Court, the court search route, or the prosecutor's office.
The sheriff's roster is also separate from state prison and federal custody. Georgia.gov notes that county jail inmates are found through county websites, while sentenced Georgia offenders are searched through the Georgia Department of Corrections. Federal and immigration custody use different locators. A person arrested in Kingsland or St. Marys may start at a police holding point, but once committed to county jail the practical public search channel is the Camden sheriff roster.
The current-custody roster results screenshot shows the Camden result table and the public count display used by the official inquiry.
The table layout matters because the result columns are often the fastest way to tell whether a booking belongs to the right person before opening the full inmate detail profile.
Use Camden County Roster
The Camden County jail roster works best when the search starts broad and then narrows. The Name field is a single text box, not a separate first-name and last-name form. Subject Number and Booking Number are narrow identifiers, so they are best used when taken from a prior roster result, court paper, bond receipt, or official notice. The In Custody checkbox limits the search to people currently jailed, and the Housing Facility dropdown has one public option: Camden County Public Safety Complex.
- Open the New World inmate inquiry from the sheriff Corrections page or directly at the roster URL.
- Check In Custody when the question is whether the person is currently jailed.
- Enter the person's name, or use Subject Number or Booking Number if one is already known.
- Use Booking From Date and Booking To Date for a date-based search when the arrest or commitment date is known.
- Leave Housing Facility blank or choose Camden County Public Safety Complex, since no other public facility option was captured.
- Click Search, review the result count and table, then click the linked name to open the detail record.
- Use Clear when a narrow search returns no match, then try a broader name or date search.
The roster can return current and past bookings for one subject. The sample detail page inspected for field inventory showed multiple bookings, including a current booking and an older booking with release and disposition data. That is useful when the same person has more than one booking number. It also means the "Multiple Bookings" column should not be treated as a new charge by itself.
Camden County Search Fields
The public Camden County inmate search exposes a compact field set. No login was required in the inspection, and the page uses Search and Clear buttons. Dates appear as date-picker class fields, but the public form did not post a visible date-format rule. The results page displayed 100 rows on the first page when 139 current-custody records were returned, so a broad current-custody search may require paging or a narrower query.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name | Text | Unspecified | Single name search field with no visible wildcard rule. |
| Subject Number | Text | Optional or unspecified | Person-level identifier, with sample values shown as six digits. |
| Booking Number | Text | Optional or unspecified | Booking-event identifier, formatted like YYYY-########. |
| In Custody | Checkbox | Optional | Value True; title says Currently jailed only. |
| Booking From Date | Text/date picker | Optional | Date input class shown, but no public format instruction was posted. |
| Booking To Date | Text/date picker | Optional | Pairs with the from-date field for booking range searches. |
| Housing Facility | Dropdown | Optional | Blank or Camden County Public Safety Complex. |
The official New World search screenshot captures the fields shown above before results are returned.
Those fields explain why a partial name and custody filter often work better than trying to guess an exact booking number.
Camden County Inmate Profile
A Camden County inmate profile is more detailed than the roster result row. The search results list name, subject number, custody status, scheduled release date, race, gender, height, weight, the multiple-bookings flag, and housing facility. The detail page adds demographic fields, booking history, booking origin, bonds, court information, charges, classification, sentence-related fields, and disposition fields. Some cells can be blank, especially court date, docket, sentence, scheduled release, and disposition data.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Subject Number | New World person-level ID used across bookings. |
| Booking Number | One booking event, with a format like 2026-00001379. |
| Booking Date | Date and time the jail booking was created. |
| Release Date | Actual release date if the booking is no longer active. |
| Scheduled Release Date | Future release date if posted by the jail system. |
| Prisoner Type | Custody category, such as Newly Charged. |
| Classification | Jail risk or housing category, such as Minimum. |
| Booking Origin | Agency or source that originated the booking, such as a municipal police department. |
| Bond Details | Bond number, type, amount, total bond, and total bail when posted. |
| Charges | Charge description, offense date, crime class, arresting agency, bond reference, and disposition fields. |
Medical information, Social Security numbers, victim details, telephone data, full personal identifiers, and detailed cell location were not visible in the public sample. The sample also did not display a street address, only city, state, and ZIP. Mugshots are not shown. The roster footer states that photos were removed per O.C.G.A. 50-18-72.
Camden County Lookup Channels
The online roster is the first stop for a Camden County jail inmate record, but it is not the only official channel. If a name does not appear, the person may not have been booked yet, may have bonded out, may be held under a different spelling, may be in a municipal pre-transfer stage, or may be in another custody system. Camden's sheriff records division is described in the research as maintaining reports and paperwork produced after arrest or incarceration, and the open-records portal is the fallback for records not shown online.

| Sheriff mobile updates | Camden County Sheriff's Office app | Public-safety news, tips, reports, and information. No app-only roster was verified. |
For a Kingsland or St. Marys arrest, timing matters. If the arrest is very recent, the city police department or sheriff's jail phone line may have routing information before the county roster updates. Once the person is committed to the Camden County Public Safety Complex, the New World roster is the public search tool.
Note: A jail booking can show custody and charge data before the formal court record is complete.
Camden County Jail Facility
The main Camden County jail record source is tied to the Public Safety Complex in Woodbine. The public roster's housing facility dropdown lists Camden County Public Safety Complex as the available facility, and the facility map identifies it as the county-level jail for arrestees, municipal bind-overs, pretrial defendants, and local sentenced jail inmates. Separate public rosters were not located for Kingsland Police Department or St. Marys Police Department holding functions.

Camden County Booking Process
Camden's jail handbook gives the clearest local picture of intake. A person may arrive after arrest, after being bound over from a municipality, or as the responsibility of the Camden County Sheriff. During booking, the arrestee must provide accurate identifying information, give up property and money for inventory, complete health and medical-history screening, report special medical or dietary conditions, submit to identification and search steps, and acknowledge the jail handbook.
Money found at intake is deposited into the inmate account. The handbook lists an intake fee, shower shoes, a new inmate kit, monthly commissary account maintenance, and an armband replacement cost if needed. Initial classification considers sex, offense status, violent nature of the offender, and other risk factors. The public roster may show classification and housing facility, but it does not expose detailed pod or cell placement.

Camden County Visitation Rules
Visitation and communication rules come from the sheriff inmate services, inmate guidelines, and jail handbook materials. Video visitation is available through HomeWAV, and the handbook also references Amtel Phone System and Legacy Email. The rules are tied to approved visitor lists and no-contact visitation. Always confirm current visit access before travel because discipline, lockdown, illness, court movement, and security needs can change access.
| Item | Camden Rule |
|---|---|
| Visit type | Video visitation through HomeWAV; no-contact visits listed as a privilege. |
| Approved list | Visitor must be on the inmate's approved list. |
| List size | Up to four approved names. |
| Visitors per visit | Maximum of three visitors. |
| Visit length | 15 minutes. |
| Minors | Ages 14 to 18 must be with a parent or legal guardian. |
| Personal items | Cell phones, pagers, keys, wallets, and purses must stay in vehicles. |
| Dress code | No sleeveless shirts, tank tops, low-cut tops, or short shorts. |
Mail is limited. Personal mail must be plain white postcards or email, and the guidelines state that inmates cannot receive letters. Postcards should use the inmate name and P.O. Box 699, Woodbine, GA 31569. All postcards and email are subject to search or screening. Inmate-to-inmate mail must go through the U.S. Postal Service and be approved by jail administration.
Funds and Bond Records
Camden County inmate records often connect to money questions because bond fields can appear on the public profile. The sheriff bonding page states that O.C.G.A. 17-6-15 gives the sheriff authority to establish, publish, and regulate bonding guidelines for arrested people. Bonding transactions take place at the Sheriff's Office Public Safety Complex. The roster sample showed Bond/Cash/Property as a bond type and displayed bond numbers and amounts tied to charge references.
Commissary and deposit rules are separate from bond. The inmate services page links to commissary, email, video visitation, and gift-package services. The handbook references jailatm.com, while the sheriff services page points to Legacy Commissary, so the active vendor should be confirmed before sending funds. The guidelines also state that the facility does not accept cash, checks, or money orders for deposits, and that a lobby kiosk is available.
